Narratek CEO: Joe Weber
During
his 40 years in the healthcare industry, Joe has engaged in medical research, healthcare administration, biotechnology, consulting,
and marketing. He is currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer for Valadoc, the Medical Coordinator Company.
Its mission is to train transcriptionists to perform EHR documentation by securely listening to clinical encounters from a
remote location. This provides them with a career path to the future, while substantially increasing the productivity
of their physician partners. Joe has been Executive Vice President of DVI, a leading dictation system company acquired
by MedQuist. He was CEO of Lexicore, a healthcare speech-recognition technology company, acquired by AssistMed. Joe has published and presented extensively on a variety of healthcare topics, primarily
related to clinical documentation. He has been awarded 3 U.S. patents, including the one for Smartype. He is a
founding member of the prestigious Davies EHR Excellence Award Program of HIMSS and has served on the board of directors of
the Clinical Documentation Industry Association (CDIA). Joe has a B.A. in Biology from Brandeis, an M.S. in Biostatistics
from Columbia, and an M.S. in Management from M.I.T.
